Providing you with a pharmacy program that offers affordable, safe, and effective medications is one of our top priorities. We have a carefully chosen formulary, an extensive retail network , and will notify you of medication coverage changes. And, we've made it easy for you to get your Medicare Part D prescription benefits and your Medicare or supplemental Medicare health coverage in one place. Here’s how:
You can purchase a Medicare Advantage health plan, like Medicare HMO Blue or Medicare PPO Blue, which offers a prescription coverage option. Or, if you have supplemental Medicare coverage (such as our Medex Core or Medex Bronze plans) that does not offer a prescription coverage option you can choose to purchase the Blue Medicare Rx Medicare Part D pharmacy plan. Click here to learn more. You can also keep your Original Medicare coverage and purchase a separate Medicare prescription plan, such as Blue Medicare Rx.
If you have a pharmacy benefit with a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Medicare or Medex plan, you can be assured that you and your doctor will have access to a variety of safe, effective medications.
Your key to pharmacy coverage is your pharmacy ID card. Use the card whenever you fill a prescription at a retail pharmacy.
Your good health is important to us. One great way to stay healthy is to keep track of all your medications. To help you do that, get a copy of this brochure. There is space in the brochure to write down your medications, and a list of questions you can ask your doctor. There is also a medication checklist. Bring this information with you when you visit your doctor and talk about your medications. When you understand your medications and how to take them, you can stay healthier.
